This beautifully crafted men’s belt is made by hand in our UK workshop from British belting butt leather and features a secret message hidden inside, engraved in your handwriting! We use incredibly strong leather developed specifically for belt making: it’s durable, luxury quality, and made to last. Our belts are available in tan brown or black leather with your choice of solid brass or nickel-plated steel buckle. Complimentary personalised initials are stamped on the outside of the belt and we will engrave an exact copy of your handwritten message on the inside.
Man & Bear leather belts are designed, handmade and personalised by our small workshop team in the New Forest, England. We have honed our skills over years of experience, sourcing the highest quality leather and working with traditional processes to celebrate the best of UK craftsmanship. The men’s belts are made from British vegetable-tanned leather, sourced from a tannery in Bristol, which uses the strongest part of the leather hide to create the ideal material for belt making. Each leather belt is cut, edged and finished by hand, we stamp the final product with personalised initials to make it yours and then subtly deboss with the Man & Bear brand mark - our seal of approval and a nod to life’s adventures.
The belts are available in two widths: a narrower dress belt, for suits and formalwear, and a wider casual belt that’s perfect for wearing with jeans.
Once you have placed your order, please send us your handwritten message by email (hello@manandbear.co.uk). Shorter messages work best (ideally 5-10 words), and we will require a scan or clear, high-quality photograph taken from above in order to proceed.

Need to know:
- The belts are available in two standard sizes (30-34” and 35-40”), but we can offer custom sizing if needed—email us, and we’ll be happy to help with a bespoke piece.
- Leather is a natural material which is full of character; unique scars and markings are completely normal and, in fact, encouraged.
- The belts can be personalised with initials on the outside (up to 4 debossed characters) and a handwritten message underneath. Your message should be short and clearly photographed.

- The S/M belt fits a 30-34” waist, and the L/XL belt fits a 35-40” waist
- The narrow dress belt measures 32mm wide, and the wider casual belt measures 38mm wide
- Our belts are handmade from full grain vegetable tanned leather from a traditional tannery in Bristol, UK
